Kumki(Gajaraju)- Review : Worth watching?

I remember, Prabu Solomon saying in an interview before the release of Myna, he related his future movie attempts to Oscars. For 99% of the people this may be funny or over ambitious, but believe it or not guys, he is a fighter and he never gave up. His past was filled with struggle and he was extremely frustrated when the producers were asking for his horoscope, rather than listening to his stories. But it is his pure determination and fighting spirit, which was reflected in Myna and now he went one step further with Kumki.
The film is truly in world class level, in many categories. The theme itself is new for Tamil Cinema. If you want the story in simple, "a fight against the wild elephant, who causes devastating damage to the remote village". As a matter of fact the elephant (Maikam) isn't a Kumki actually (Kumki's are those elephant who will fight against wild elephant), but circumstances make it to take this role and love prolongs to continue this role for a further time, which will be proved fatal at the end/

Thambi Ramayah.An asset in this film.His mind voices especially are laugh riot in this movie. A mature acting and his probably in tp 3 Comedians of Tamil Cinema at this time

Climax Graphic. When 80% of the movie will give you the wow factor, the climax graphics is a let down. Though the situation where Makikam fights with wild elephant gets the pulse of the audience, still, it is in negative shade, because most of the other technical departments are brilliant in this movie.

This is surely a slow pacer, if it hasn't been Thambi Ramayah. Negative climax is no new for Tamil Cinema, but a positive ending would have chilled out a more. If you could ask any one who watched the movie, 80% will say super, except for last 10 minutes

Imaan. In one word Wowwwww. What a music. As some one mentioned, after a long time in Tamil Ceinma, people cheering , sorry roaring whenever song comes. The way in which "Ayyayo Ayyayo Song" kicks of is ultimate. All the songs are rocking and it is better than NEP for sure

Vikram Prabu + Lakshmi Menon. It is no easy for an American return to act in such a role. Karti did it in Paruthiveeran, and now VP. Lakshmi Menon, is rocking in her expressions and this young girl is all set to take big role in Tamil Cinema Insutry
