Life of Pi - Review : Worth watching?

Life of Pi - Review : Worth watching?

IMDB Rating: 8.3

Life of Pi- "a really feel good movie, if you can hold tight for 2 hours, as it is a slow one"

---5 reasons, why Life of Pi is a must watch---

Genre: Drama, Adventure

Satisfaction Index for the Money spent:

1) Visually Effects: Unlike Avatar, we wont be seeing any fantasy world, rather Life of Pi depicts the real world with Practical 3D and visual effects, that's makes you fell cool and fresh throughout. For example Mamaji Swimming in an hotel in Paris, Sea Waves ( that doesn't even looks like graphics), all the sea portion, island portion are very good. This was well supported by cinematography, as you could hardly see the difference between them.

2) Music: Neither it is too good, to bring the fell withing, nor too bad to spoil the plot.

3) Richard Parker: The second best performance in main role after Pi's character. You will be amazed to know that all the Tiger scenes were graphics. Mind blowing CG work. This is the character which helps survives Pi.

4) Tabu's Tamil: Doesn't look Natural. It looks  like some foreigner speaking the language. A slight disappointment for Indian Tamil fans

5) Suraj Sharma and Irfan Khan: Though Irfan comes for less time, he did a splendid job and once again proved he is the bridge between Hollywood and Indian film Industry. Little known Suraj Sharma lived the character of PI and never looked like a debutant film. Awesome performance.

6) Movie pace might be the biggest complain for Life of Pi.A typical Dramatic Adventurous film, is too slow throughout the movie. It kicks off slow and the momentum hasn't reached to full throttle at any point of time. This might be the key reason for people who goes with high expectations to feel bad.

7) Indian - Pondicherry Culture: The movie starts with a Tamil Song and the initial part of the movie, describes the beauty of Pondicherry. For Indian fans this connectivity will work very well and will also ensure big Box office from India

Rating: 7.5/10 .
