Can we watch it?
Its a good horror movie, and the best of the experience will be felt when you watch this movie alone at night . Yes, this is yet another Stanley Kuberick's masterpiece. For a period of 5 months in a year, Overlook hotel will be deserted, thanks to the heavy snow, and during this period, it is the duty of the winter caretaker to take care of this deserted hotel. Then the rest of the story deals with the cabin fever and its outcome of the caretaker.
One could say, alongside direction, brilliant cinematography (barring the opening sequence where the helicopter was visible for few seconds, which should have been took care by the editing department) , and brilliant music(especially when Donny rides the cycle, the differentiation of the sound was brilliant), made this movie one of the best horror movies. So my take is that, this is a must watch Horror movie.
Like any other horror movies, the climax leave us in a mystery.
